Default Wikka breadcrumbs

Wondering if it's just me...Is the navigation on Wikka Wiki...strange? If you click into a topic, then into an article, there's no breadcrumb system, and no persistent navigation component other than the general links near the top. It's very click-through, serial, and has a terrible "bad UI smell". I'm thinking the main documentation for a system as complex as Aliro should have extremely low impedance, exceptional friendliness, hopeful Wikka has some hidden charm I'm missing out on.

For example this:

Maybe I'm nuts, but that's not what I'd call a "delightful presentation".
Someone clue me in, thanks.

Difficult area - this is something where personal opinions vary wildly.

What I do is develop documentation in HTML (currently using Kompozer) as a kind of lowest useful common denominator. And then convert to wiki format, or whatever else.
